Activity:
I integrated atmospheric lighting using torch prefabs and 2D lights in dark areas like the boss room.
Configured music zones that smoothly fade in and out based on player trigger interactions.
Set up a working dialogue system using the DialogueCanvasController with interactable InfoPost triggers.
Connected enemy death events to animate doors (e.g., the boss room door opens after defeating the boss) using UnityEvents.
Cleaned up canvas visuals in the editor and adjusted UI elements like health and dialogue to avoid clutter.
Notes:
Next step is to implement combat upgrades (damage boosters, health pickups that expand UI hearts). Also need to add decoration and play test level from the very beginning.
Invested hours:
Torch lighting + music zone + dialogue trigger setup: 2h
Door trigger via boss death: 1h
UI cleanup and editor polish: 1h
Total: 4 hours
Outcome:
Scene is now immersive with lighting and ambient audio. Dialogue works and boss fight can trigger environment progression. Ready to add combat upgrades and polish boss arena.
